Story
In the summer of 2015 our friend Alice was diagnosed with MDS. This is a blood disorder which results in a lowering of the number of healthy blood cells. This obviously results in a huge amount of fatigue and despite this Alice has battled with immense spirit through the complications that she has endured. Alice's positivity has been portrayed through her blog and has given all of us immense inspiration as she battles through endless hours in hospital and numerous blood transfusions.
As a token of support for Alice we have decided to walk Pen-y-fan mountain carrying the weight of all of the money we raise in pennies. This roughly works out as 20 kgeach for our target of £500. These weights will help us realise the effects that fatigue has on Alice and we hope to be successful in raising the money for the charity she has done so much to raise awareness for.
