A team of staff from Walker Smith Way Solicitors will be joining forces with other firms to take part in the Manchester Legal Walk on Thursday 30th September to raise money for the North West Legal Support Trust. This is a significant grant-making charity, formed in 2009, that aims to support pro bono charities in the North West of England. The Trust works to enable the provision of free legal advice to members of the public who would otherwise be disadvantaged, and also supports other charitable work that promotes access to justice.
Solicitors, barristers and members of the legal community, including law students, will come together in various teams, raising sponsorship for this 10km walk. The event starts from the Civil Justice Centre in and ends with a Drinks Reception in Ha-Ha Bar and Grill, Spinningfields. His Honour Judge Holman, as President of the Trust and Lesley Graham, past president of ILEX and current Council Member for the constituency will both be leading the walk. John Dunn, who is a solicitor based in our Ashton-under-Lyne office and President of Manchester Law Society will also be joining them.
