Story

My Mum unfortunately passed away on 16th August 2012 aged 57 due to secondary breast cancer which had spread to her bones, brain, liver and lung.  She was the strongest person you could ever imagine and tried her best to fight the nasty disease.  I was so proud of her.

When she went into the hospice, me, Paul, Lee and even Mum did not think she was going to die there.  We thought she was building up strength which the chemo had taken from her.  I even said my farewell to her and jetted off to Italy, knowing she was in the best place.  But less than 14 hours of me being there, Mum took a turn for the worst and I came straight home.  It was a total shock.  Her eyes apparently expressed anger when she was told I was on my way back and to hang on.... like she wanted me to continue my holiday and not worry!!   But 15mins before I arrived back at the hospice, my Mum slipped away.   Perhaps because she did not want me to see her in pain?  It is how my brothers and the nurses felt.  I went to see her and she looked beautiful.  Just sleeping.

My Mum was my best friend and the funniest, gorgeous and most caring Mum I could have ever wished for.  Unfortunately I cannot bring her back but to help her live on, me and my family are doing all we can to raise money for this amazing charity in memory of our Mum.  Please give as little or large as you can afford, every little helps.  Nobody will ever know when the hospice is needed in their's or a relatives life.  And they rely on 70% of charitable donations to keep going and caring for those people who's illnesses can be treated but cannot be cured.

Please help and thank you so much in advance xxx
