Story
On the 11th August 2014, my younger brother, Chris Isaac's life was cruelly cut short by cancer of the duodenum. He was just 36.
Chris, who was scared of spiders and of monsters under his bed, proved to be the bravest of the brave when he was given the terrible diagnosis in early July and for the following few weeks until his death.
In the days after he died, I felt the need to do something. I couldn't let Chris' death be in vain. Something positive had to come out of it and so we came up with the idea of walking from our childhood home in Oxfordshire to Polruan in Cornwall, both places he loved very much, to raise funds in memory of Chris, a wonderful son, husband, brother, father and friend.
The duodenum is found in the small bowel and for that reason, we have arranged with Cancer Research UK that any funds we raise from this walk will be directed to research into Small Bowel Cancer.
We hope our fundraising will help speed up the discovery of a cure, raise awareness and save other people going through the pain Chris did in the last few months of his life.
I will be joined on the walk by Kabuki Snyder who was one of Chris' friends from his days at EMI Music and Universal Music.
Together we will set off on Saturday, 9th May 2015 from Great Haseley and will follow major trails and paths including The Ridgeway, Lands End Trail and the South West Coastal Path to arrive in Polruan on Sunday, 24th May.
Thank you for your support,
