Story
After walking the full length of New Zealand two and half years ago, and riding a bicycle around the state of Tasmania last year to raise awareness and money for nystagmus. This year I will be riding a bicycle along Australian’s two longest rail trails for the same cause. For this adventure I will only have 2 days to complete it, covering over 310km in such a short time. And I will be keeping you updated along the way as I journey my way around a part of Queensland, Australia’s stunning “Sunshine State”.
So what will they do with the money raised?
Nystagmus Network has supported nystagmus research for many years and continues to do so. Through their collaboration with the leading UK research and clinical teams they are able to lead the way in finding potential treatments for the condition whilst also exploring the causes of nystagmus.
The charity has 3 main areas of research Treatment, Diagnostics, and Genetics, all in an effort to improve QUALITY OF LIFE for those living with nystagmus.
There is a lot of exciting research work being undertaken in the nystagmus field and the charity will continue to be at the forefront to help improve outcomes for those who currently have congenital or acquired nystagmus, as well as future generations of the nystagmus community, and your generous donations can help the funding of this research.
