Story
Our fellow humans are suffering!
It would take 8 hours 38minutes to fly from Leeds Bradford to Kabul but it is a world away from us here!! I will walk for that time to raise money for the awful situation happening there...who knows where I will end up but this in itself is a luxury. As a woman, being able to roam about freely, without fear of harassment, persecution and even death is no longer something I will be taking for granted.
As we sip our oat lattes and worry about where in the queue we are for our next delivery, our global community suffers. People just like us are being tortured and killed, homes and families destroyed and fear a part of every moment. I can't stand it! Can you?? Our distance and disconnect should be stood for no more. We might not be able to do much and trust might be thin in the powers that can, but what we can do is give. Give what we have in relative abundance...MONEY!
A little goes a long way, so please give what you can and keep in mind the suffering you might help to ease.
Thank you.
*Note: there is so much suffering near and far so please, if you don't give for this, be mindful of anything you can spare to keep charities a float and those in need of help not forgotten.
