Story
UPDATE: I managed to complete this challenge... somehow! It took me just under 23 days and it was as brutal as you could imagine, mainly because the weather didn't entirely play ball. Let's just say it was a very wet and windy trip. Still, I did manage to enjoy most of it and am extremely proud of the achievement and the money that was raised along the way. Thank you so, so much to everyone who donated. If you'd still like to contribute, I'd be very grateful.

This challenge could potentially be one step too far for me, but I'm going to give it a crack!
The plan is to run from south Wales to north Wales via every single mountain throughout the country. That'll be 189 that I'll need to get up and over in the space of a few weeks.
I've done a number of challenges over the years and to be honest I've been feeling guilty that I've not raised any money for charity off the back of them – so it's time to change that.
Mind Over Mountains is my chosen charity. It's an excellent organisation that helps those who are struggling with their wellbeing by providing them with valuable outdoor experiences. It was founded by Alex Staniforth, a young guy who has had his own struggles with mental health and is now determined to help others.
On this challenge, I'll be going alone and sleeping in the elements most nights. That means I'll need to carry my tent and camping kit on my back while I attempt to cover what's likely to be over 500 miles. It's something that's never been done before... and it might well be impossible!
All the money donated to this challenge will go to Mind Over Mountains. I'd be hugely grateful for your support.
Here's an idea of the route I'll be taking (map by Matt Myerscough and Michael Murray).
