I now endeavour to go beyond and bring my total distance ran in Ramadan while fasting to 100km In Sha Allah.

Knowing that we'll be giving the people of Ghana a different option to what they currently drink is really all the motivation that's needed.

The support has been overwhelming thus far. Please continue to share the message so others can contribute to such a dire and worthy cause.

May Allah SWT allow all those that have quenched the people's thirst today, to have their own thirst quenched on the day where there is no shade from Hawd Al-Kawthar through the blessed hands of RasoolAllah SAW 🤲❤️

N.B. Any excess funds raised will be going towards the same people for an educational complex in my beloved parents name's who are no longer with us. This is also Zakat applicable by HRF's Zakat Policy. Jazakallah khair 🤲

No organised run, no problem! The pavements haven't gone anywhere!

Last year you helped me raise £3300 for clean water projects in Ghana. To date, thousands take benefit from them daily! Everytime someone quenches their thirst from one of the water wells we built, it's YOU that made that happen, and will no doubt be receiving endless rewards for it!

I intend to run the The Lockdown 10k on Sunday 10th May. A run which I've put together with HRF while we're all in lockdown. I don't want this to be a time where we let obstacles get in the way. Despite our circumstances, there are still people in need, that need our help. I'm making no excuses, and want to make sure I make the same impact as last year this Ramadan.

I'll be doing this run while fasting 18 hours (no food or water).

All funds raised will be going towards water projects in Ghana. A water well in North Ghana costs £5000 and lasts a lifetime. This will enable the community to stop having to walk 3 miles each way, sometimes twice a day, to carry and drink unsafe water which is undrinkable by our standards. It's contaminated with the likes of animal faeces and urine and literally just looks like mud. Following this, children will be able to focus on their education and the entire communities health and life expectancy will improve.
