We bring people together to build generational change.

Story

Hiya, thanks for clicking through this far...

In brief what I am going to do is run from my childhood primary school in Leicestershire to my son's primary school in West Sussex over the course of a week in June. This works out as about a marathon a day.

Along the way we (Hobgoblin Theatre Company) will be giving a free performance of our Numeracy show, "The History of Maths", to a primary school at each start location.

Do a show, run a marathon, repeat. Simples!

I am hoping to get each of the schools involved in the fundraising as well but my main focus has to be on raising as much as I can myself.

I love running but have never done anything even remotely on this scale so I am very nervous about it. Hannah, my wife, has already told me that it's a one-off so please, please, please donate and make it worth my while breaking myself!

If watching me destroy myself over the course of a week isn't incentive enough to sponsor me then think of the brilliant work that VSO do in furthering access to education around the world. I believe the children are our future (sing it with me...) and education is an essential part of improving quality of life for future generations.

A fiver, a tenner, a grand or whatever you can afford, it all adds up. Pretty please.

See you at the finish line - I will be the sweaty crying one with no toenails.

Dan x
