I am lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to volunteer in Zambia for 6 weeks to coach football to local children. There I will be working with a Zambian organisation with the aim to improve quality of life through sport.

Zambia is one of the poorest countries in the world with the high rates of HIVS/ AIDS playing a huge role in this. As a result over 1.2million children are orphaned in Zambia in a population of just 17million.

Supporting the work of Sport in Action each summer student and staff volunteers from universities across the UK come together to help and support the delivery of sport development projects, aiming to make a significant contribution to the long term development of young people in Zambia.

The money I raise will make this amazing opportunity possible. Going towards travel and helping the charities in Zambia. Any amount donated is amazing help, going towards a massive life enhancing experience for local Zambian children.
