On 26 April 2015 I will be running the Virgin London Marathon proudly wearing the vest of Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity. Since our son Adam died of neuroblastoma cancer aged just nine years old, in July 2013, we have been working our way though all the charities and organisations that helped us throughout the four years of his illness. Our aim is to give something back to each of them in memory of our beautiful little boy.
Rays of Sunshine are a wish charity who arranged our final ever day out as a family two months before Adam's death, at Harry Potter Studio Tour. I've not watched the video they shot yet, it's still too painful. However, on the afternoon before Adam's death he and I sat on the bed together and looked through the photos from that day. It's a memory that will live in my heart forever.
Please join me in supporting Rays of Sunshine so they can continue to provide magical moments for children with serious and life-threatening conditions, and create memories to be forever treasured by their loved ones.
