Hello, my name is Vivien Nguyen and I’m a Reality Changers 2017 alumni!

I joined Reality Changers my freshman year of high school in 2013 and am currently finishing up my last semester at San Diego Mesa College. This fall I will be transferring to the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) pursuing a degree in Political Science with a concentration in Public Policy.

As the first in my family to go to college, I faced many obstacles in finding resources and asking for help at school. Luckily, Reality Changers was able to guide me through high school from providing academic tutoring to leadership training. They granted me scholarships to attend UCSD's Academic Connections for three consecutive summers, which opened my eyes to the college culture. Even after graduating from high school, Reality Changers has continued to aid me by providing the necessary tools to be successful at community college. It’s because of the family that I’ve built at Reality Changers that has contributed to my success today.

Knowing how much this program has impacted my life, I'm giving back so that other students can change their own realities. Please support my campaign by donating to Reality Changers for their 18th anniversary and continue the legacy of building first generation college students!
