Our lovely Lance has been suffering for the last few years with chronic COPD, amongst many other medical conditions, and this past year he has sadly spent most of his time in hospital.  The care that he has received at East Surrey Hospital has been next to none and the nursing staff of 'Tilgate Ward' have been outstanding and showed him the utmost care, compassion and loving support throughout the four times he was admitted  ..... (too many staff to mention but our huge thanks to that very special team) .... they made his last few weeks as comfortable as possible and nothing was too much trouble  - they often commented that he was a model patient !! 

We have decided on donations in memory of Lance to be made to the  hospitals charity SASH - this charity, amongst many other good causes, has funded some amazing outside seating areas/gardens for patients and friends/relatives and we spent many happy hours with Lance, on his portable oxygen bottle, having picnics in the many beautifully crafted outside areas. He so looked forward to his trips out in the wheelchair into the gardens ...... All proceeds from this Just Giving page will go to the hospitals SASH charity.

As most people know, Lance also loved his fish pond but sadly due to his lack of mobility has not been able to see the newly re-vamped fish pond in our beautiful garden at our new home, Magnolia Cottage.  We will therefore be creating a memorial in his memory next to his much loved fish pond and he will finally get to see our lovely garden and his beloved fish pond !
