Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I previously raised some money for Ayrshire and Arran Health Board Endowment Fund by doing the Lyon marathon. During the Covid-19 lockdown us runners have been missing the competitive nature of racing and I saw an opportunity to get an event on the go and hopefully raise some more funds in the process. This is not to step on the toes of the great work being done by others to raise funds by doing virtual races, but I felt there was still an appetite for more after the success of others. This event is not in conjunction with any club. This is a bit of fun, not to be taken too seriously and everyone is welcome to join in. There are no prizes, this is simply for motivational purposes and to keep an interest in your training.
The premise is simple; enter by private messaging me on Facebook, or email stewart.mcallister1985@yahoo.co.uk and I will confirm your entry. Run a 10k, on a route of your choice, between 01/05/2020 and 14/05/2020.
It's completely free to enter (however I would ask everyone to enter into the spirit of things if you are able to do so and leave a wee donation, even if it's just £2 or something) and I will do the admin and produce the results after 14/05/2020. Just send me your full name, date of birth (solely for the purposes of age categories, send year of birth only if you feel more comfortable with that) and your running club or team name (if applicable).
Rules
- Your run must take place between and inclusive of the dates 01/05/2020 and 14/05/2020 and time must be submitted to me on Facebook or by email by Midnight on the 14th.
-Run must be verifiable on a running app such as Strava. Running app data to be submitted with your time (a screenshot will be fine)
-Out and back routes are suggested or a route starting and finishing at the same point, however point to point courses will be accepted if the finishing elevation is the same as the starting elevation (within reason, please don't cheat in other words)
-Teams, 1st 3 male and female counters from each team. Team results will be collated with the cumulative positions (rather than total time i.e if a team's runners came 3rd, 15th and 20th the team score would be 38. Lowest score is the winner.
-Please make sure all runs are carried out in line with social distancing advice
-10K racing is not recommended for those under 16 years of age, therefore I would not accept any entries from those younger than that or who normally would not be able to compete in 10k racing under Scottish/British athletics rules
