In the midst of lockdown, we wanted to raise some smiles and bring some virtual pet fun into your homes. After having to postpone many of our fundraising events, and most of us spending the majority of our time at home, we thought... why not organise a virtual pet show so everyone can proudly show off their pets.
We invite you to join us on Saturday 23rd May, from the comfort of your home for our first virtual 'Show off your Pet' event to help us raise vital funds for Children's Hospice South West during these difficult and unprecedented times.
We have 5 different category's to enter including dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and reptiles, and only £2 minimum donation to take part in each class so whatever pet you have there is a category for you!
So how does the Virtual 'Show off your Pet' work:
1) Click 'Going' on our Facebook event to show you are attending -https://www.facebook.com/events/1746960535444637
2) Choose the class you’d like to enter (you can enter as many classes as you like)
3) Make your £2 minimum donation for each class/per animal on this page
4) On Saturday 23rd May - look out for the time of the class(es) you want to enter and post a photo of your pet along with their name under the class status. You will have 20 minutes to upload a photo. For example: 10am-10:20am post your Dog 'Best fancy dress' under the status. 10:20am: The class is then closed for judging
5) 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners will be announced for each class after judging. Don’t forget the 1st prize winners will then be entered into the ‘Best in Show’ at 2.30pm where previous 1st prize winners can enter their favourite pet photo to win ‘Best in show’
6) Our 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners will receive their virtual rosettes for each class by Facebook messenger, and there will be a special prize for 'Best in Show'
