Story

Welcome and thanks for stopping by our fundraising page!

The Virtual DJs online Facebook group is a community of DJs from around the world, who have all throughout lockdown found a place to share their live streams and love of music to other DJs and those who miss that going out feeling!

We have decided to come together and put on a weekend long event to raise money for a charity based in Lincolnshire, UK. They are in desperate need of a new, bigger and better facility to take on more animals and further improve the care and support for wildlife in the area. They have done an amazing job even throughout tough times in the current pandemic, and I really want to help them towards their goal to provide a new centre.

The event will be on :

  • Saturday 20th February 12pm - 12am
  • Sunday 12pm - 12am

A bit more about the charity below...

Wild Things Rescue is a small charity based in Lincolnshire. We are working hard to help as many sick, injured and orphaned wild animals, however, our resources are really limited. We currently use a home fostering system but would love to be able to provide Lincolnshire with a dedicated wildlife centre. This would enable us to help more animals and provide a better service to both the public and vets.We can apply for funding to help towards our wildlife centre but we need to secure a premises first! To do this we need to raise enough money to pay a years rent and add some extra bits to enable us to have animals on site. We know that £10,000 is a big target but we think we can do it! The premises that we've looked at that would be suitable cost between £7,000-£8,500 per year to rent, which isn't cheap, but we need this centre to be able to keep up with demand. We will also be able to provide more volunteering opportunities when we finally reach our goal to create a dedicated centre!
