Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Saturday the 5th of December I will be completing a day long writeathon from 9am-6pm at Waterstones in Reading Broadstreet, to raise money for Syrian refugees.
I have been hugely moved by the impact the Syrian crisis is having on migrants, especially children. It is something I touch on in my novel, 'What Milo Saw,' through the character of Tripi and his sister Ayishah. I will be spending the day writing a short story developing this strand of the novel, which I will then publish on my website: www.virginiamacgregor.com.
It would mean the world to me if you could support my writing day by making a donation.
As well as writing the short story I will be available to sign books and to offer writing tips. I'll be stationed in the window of Reading Waterstones, you can't miss me! Do pop by to say hello.
All proceeds from copies of 'What Milo Saw' sold at Waterstones Reading on the 5th of December will go straight to Waterstones's 'Buy Books for Syria' campaign and 'Oxfam's Syria Crisis Appeal'. Here is a link to my event on the Waterstones website:
