Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On Sunday 16th March, 2014 we walked for the second time with David and Catherine the 14 miles between the Royal Marsden sites in Chelsea and Sutton.  We are walking as "Team Kidd" because want to support the work of this world class hospital which does so much to help people who suffer from cancer. Perhaps we are rather unusual in that three of us in the same family have had cancer.  In 1994 Catherine, aged 4, has a brain tumour removed at Great Ormond Street; in 2005 David had an operation to remove colon cancer at the Nuffield  in Guildford. In 2010 I was diagnosed with lymphoma and am now well, needing no further treatment, having been cared for by  Professor Cunningham and his team at the Marsden.  To me, this shows that cancer can affect any of us, however healthy and happy our lifestyle, and the more we can all support the Marsden,  the more resources will be available for research, diagnosis and treatment.
