Story
On Sat 7th October 2017 I ran the Peebles 20km Run in memory of my lovely mum, who was a supporter of CHAS. I know how hard it is to see a parent through a terminal condition but for those even more unfortunate to see a child through a terminal illness I cannot imagine how unbearable that must be, so I wanted to raise some money to help those unfortunate enough to find themselves in such a position. My time could have been faster but with a bear minimum of training and including a 300 mtr hill and a lengthy stop for a novelty fall/total wipe out whilst running full speed downhill I managed to come 11th out of 62 women over 40 and 20th out of 100 women of all ages who ran. Hopefully, with proper training and avoiding a fall next year I can do better!
Any donations, no matter how small/big, are much appreciated.
