Story
It's been a while since I did any fundraising. My last big effort was back in 2013 when I built up to my first marathon. But I'm going bigger this time!
In 2018 I'll be attempting to set a new PB of 4h30 or less at Brighton Marathon. I'll be trying to break 2 hours for the 5km Swimathon event, better my previous middle distance triathlon time at Outlaw Half in May and tackling a full iron distance triathlon at Lakesman in June. Wish my luck!
So why am I doing this? Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. They do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells, to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. I'm proud to say that in 2017 I was able to donate stem cells for someone in need and was so impressed by the charity and their work, I wanted to do even more to support them.
They also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. They won’t stop until they save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings them closer to that day. Please help me to help them.
