We research early diagnosis and treatments to beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

My name is Joanne Arnold and I lost my mum to Pancreatic Cancer in December 2012, aged 70 after a two and a half year fight & my children lost their  beloved Grandma. My daughter Jessica (13) will be joining us on the walk.

My two sisters-in-law, Tracey Wilkinson & Rachael Norton  lost a very dear auntie in March 2013, aged only 60.

Both of these brave and wonderful women were incredibly important in a lot of peoples lives and are missed more than words can say.

The four of us are undertaking the challenge to walk the first two stages of the Viking Way from Barton-Upon-Humber to Caistor, a distance of 22miles (or 35Km).  We expect this to take us 7-8 hours and are hoping to schedule the walk for early May.

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital.
