Story
In spite of my many failed attempts at taking up running I have signed up to my SECOND Half Marathon - the Oxford Half - taking place in October, to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. I'm determined to beat my PB of 2hrs 7mins.
I'm doing this for my kind, brilliant, clever dad, who is currently fighting prostate cancer.
1 in 8 people with a prostate will get prostate cancer. If you’re over 50, or you’re black, or your relative had it, you’re at even higher risk. I'm hoping the money I raise will help fund vital research to stop prostate cancer.
If you have a prostate take the time to learn the signs, and make sure you have yourself checked if you are over the age of fifty. If you know someone with a prostate, give them a nudge and make sure they take these steps too. The Prostate Cancer UK website has some great information if you want to find out more - https://prostatecanceruk.org/
