Story
For some years now since its inception we have both supported this most worthwhile charity in one way or another. Its founder Paul Adams has a super infectious enthusiasm for the cause and helps drive the cause forwards and upwards to enable the charity to give young lives an equal opportunity in this world, where often through no fault of their own they would normally be held back. The Power of Parenting will try and step in to offer hope for children in care to achieve their goals through further education.
We have all given to charities before, not only do we believe in the goals of this charity but having worked closely with its founders we can trust that every penny raised goes towards the cause. This in its self helps us to believe what we do can make a difference.
August Bank holiday the two of us will be joining a number of others to
raise money for this worthy cause by jumping into kayaks and doing the
equivalent of nearly three marathons in three days. We will be kayaking
from Oxford to Windsor, 73 miles frantically paddling down the Thames trying to stay afloat whilst fighting off fatigue. What better way is there to spend your Bank Holiday?
One of us having done it two years ago knows how hard the weekend is
going to be. Unfortunately it’s not going to be easy for someone that has
never been in a kayak in his life (Sorry Guch).
Please show your support, all donations big or small will be greatly
appreciated.
