Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Through the month of november I will growing a Moustache various styles of course and providing you with hours of entertainment and if you donate £50 or more I will let you even choose what colour you would like my moutache to be.

All joking aside it's for a great cause and one that's very personal to myself. Just over a year ago I recieved a call at work  from my brother telling me that my Niece's son Arjun had been rushed to hospital and it was serious but he did not make much sense as he was distressed - I remember I was at work at the time and suddenly my legs just gave in. I rushed over to Guilford hospital and when I arrived at  the hospital expecting the worse I saw Arjun happily playing away in his hospital bed and yet his grandmother and his parents seemed very distressed. Next few hours  niece completely rocked our world - Arjun had been diagnosed with Leukemia and to start with it was a complete shock and we did not how this would impact Arjun or our lives or even what Leukemia was. Over the past 15 month's Arjun's has been recieving treatment for Leukemia and has been handled by some AMAZING MIRACLE consultants and nurses at Great Ormond Street Hospital and it's their thoroughness and care that have helped Arjun's recovery - Arjun has been through a HUGE ROLLER COASTER ride over the past year - Arjun was a curly fuzzball full of energy typical 3 year old, who had to endure huge dosages of chemotherapy that lead to drastic weight loss and loss of hair, but he fought through some major infections, flu, cold bugs and at the same time enduring chemotherapy. To Arjun having a chemotherapy was same as going to a park for someone of his age - he did not understand why his parents would allow him and put him through this pain.

Arjun is now 5 years old and I am happy to say he is starting to recover well and his blood levels are starting to improve, although he is still on chemotherapy, it's not huge dosages that used to wipe him out.

Like I mentioned throught out all this GOSH were AMAZING and therefore I will always be indebited tp them. I would like to raise £500 to give all those kids like Arjun who will be spending their xmas's at GOSH a little gift just to make that pain little bearable and to take their mind away for few moments.

Please please please dig deep and help me raise this target.

Many Thanks....Vik
