Story
We are walking in memory of my god daughter Vienna. Born at 26 weeks and fighting for almost 7 weeks. Vienna was strong and things was looking so good for her . She managed to breath without a ventilator after a few days but was put back on it. She then became ill with an Infection in the intestines this infection is called Necrotizing Entercolitis. It is most common in premature babies and it can take a baby within a short time frame.
She had surgery and was fitted with a stoma bag at 3 weeks old. After letting her intestines rest and being given antibiotics things was looking well and she was now 6 and a half weeks . Suddenly she became ill again and was taken down for surgery again , but with the heartbreaking news to her parents and family that there was nothing that could be done to repair the tissue in her intestines. Her parents and family was heartbroken and will be forever.
Vienna also received some trauma to her hand after a long line was left in her hand too long causing the blood to not flow and devastatingly damaging her Hand causing Nacrosis. This baby girl went through a tough time but continued to be a little fighter and touched the hearts of so many. Her parents and family are lucky enough to have the support of some amazing family and friends and we are all helping them and each other to get through these hard times. There maybe some parents out there that are not as lucky to have such great support but with the help of Charities like Bliss they can be given the support as well as the support from this charity to help the care of premature babies and also help with ground breaking research which may help with finding out more about Necrotizing Entercolitis and possibly a prevention of this infection.
We will be walking 3 miles around Holme Pierpoint on 5th November at 1pm Her loving parents, Brothers, sister, Grandmother, Aunties, Uncles, cousins, god parents and friends love and miss her everyday and she will never be forgotten. She will always be our little Angel butterfly Vienna Milan Molly Small xx
