Story
Jeremy is our goofy little 4 year old, who loves to talk, dance and show off. Jeremy has been a regular at NHS for severe eczema and allergies from early weeks of his life. And now that NHS is in need, we are encouraging Jeremy to do his bit to give back. He got new roller blades a few days back and aims to skate 5kms before lockdown ends in the UK. He will be training for this everyday and maybe he will go beyond 5k.
Rollerblading is not easy for Jeremy and comes with many challenges. To start with, we could not find roller blades his size, so the ones he has are slightly big. He cannot tolerate the heat because of eczema. He skates for 10seconds and whines for 30😅. When he falls down, which happens a lot, he screams for whole of Solihull to hear but then he gets up, wipes his tears and tries again. He does not give up and has a fighting spirit. He misses his cousins, teachers and friends a lot and hopes the virus will go away soon so he can see them again soon.
NHS staff and volunteers are doing amazing work right now in caring for COVID-19 patients.Together, let's show our respect and gratitude as they work tirelessly in the face of the virus. It's our turn to make sure we look after them, to ensure they can keep doing their vital work. This feat is also for many of our friends and family who are in the frontline.
