The other charity I have chosen to support is the Alzheimer's society. Alzheimers has affected our extended family this past year, this and the experiences I had as a community nurse seeing the effect alzheimers has on the individual and the family as they cope with living with the disease has inspired me to do something. So I have chosen to run and raise money for the Alzheimer's society especially because they not only research dementia but offer much needed support and information to individuals and their families.
