I'm running in memory of my Aunts nephew Dr Aidan Brunger who was tragically killed while on a medical placement in Borneo, along with his friend Neil.

My Aunt is extremely important to me and i'm doing this for her too. She loved Aidan and was extremely proud of his achievements. I never knew Aidan particularly well but I had the pleasure of meeting him at family gatherings over the years. I can even remember him as a baby.

I think Aidan had a gift. A gift that made him able to help sick people and be intelligent enough to know how to help them. Not many people have this gift or the intelligence to do it, me included :) If I can help other people, with the same gift as Aidan, make the lives of the sick and suffering more bearable then running 13 miles to raise some money doesn't seem too bad in return :)
