Story

On Friday 15th July, myself along with my friends and family are taking part in the Durham City Run (5K/10K) in memory of my Step Dad, Richard Burnham. Richard loved to run, and had recently completed the Yorkshire Marathon in October 2021.

Richard was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in November 2021 and sadly passed away on 26th December 2021. In his final few days Richard spent his time at St Cuthbert's Hospice Durham, where the whole staff gave him the best possible end of life care, whilst supporting my Mam every step of the way.

We hope to raise a total of £1100 (£100 each) to donate to the hospice, in the hope they can continue to provide the best care possible for anyone facing similar circumstances to Richard and my family during the hardest times.
