Story
Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving fundraising page.
This weekend I completed the 5k super hero run for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. On 30 May I will be taking on the next challenge and running the BUPA London 10 000
I know I have probably asked you all for sponsorship in the past, but The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is a great cause, and every little helps!
Thanks
Lots of love,
Victoria xx
What is Muscular Dystrophy?
Muscular dystrophy and related muscle diseases affect either the muscles, such as those in the arms and legs or heart and lungs, or the nerves which control the muscles. Most conditions are progressive, causing the muscles to gradually weaken over time. People's mobility is affected and most conditions lead to some sort of disability. More than 70,000 babies, children and adults in the UK are affected.
Who are the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign?
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign leads the fight against muscle disease in the UK by:
- funding world-class research
- offering free information and advice about care and support
- providing grants towards equipment
- campaigning to raise awareness and bring about change
