Story
Hi
Having had a major sporting accident when I was 20, leaving me with a broken back, a shattered pelvis, as well as internal injuries. Even though I have made a near on 100% recovery and have been lucky enough to continue to an extent what I love. I was not lucky enough to have the correct care/ knowledge at the time to rehabilitate me fully mentally and physically. Therefore I know what it is like to be in need of the support these guys provide.
I could have equally have gone to spinal research or something similar. However I have chosen the Matt Hampson foundation because I live in Rutland, and I have been a Leicester Tigers Rugby club fan/member since I before I could probably talk- my mother grew up being a supporter since she was little girl, so we as a family have always been season ticket holders. Therefore I feel like I have a connection to this foundation and what they provide to those that need it most.
I am sharing this crazy challenge with my local air ambulance service. As with out them I would not have got to the hospital so quickly and smoothly. So I leave it up to you who you'd like to support.
My aim is £3000. in total but would always love more! I hope that you can support me with both, even if it is a couple of quid. We could also take healthy bets as to how long my mother will not want to see me until it grows back!!!
Here is a brief bit of information about The Matt Hampson Foundation. Otherwise check out their website.
