Story
Back in 2018 I was privileged to visit Nhlengelo Primary School in South Africa with the Alumier Foundation and meet the amazing children and staff there.
The trip was life changing for me in many ways as it came at a time when I was burnt out from stress and at breaking point in my own life. I wasn’t sure I would be able to still go as I’d been in hospital but I’m so so grateful I did. The whole trip was an experience I will never forget. Meeting and talking to these smiling happy little children who had never seen water running out of a tap until the school was built and had been having their lessons under a tree and taking to their head teacher touched my soul and so I’ve been involved with the charity ever since.
Now I am climbing Snowdon along with My partner Tim and Victoria Hiscock who I went on the trip with to raise money to fill their classrooms with desks!
You can watch the documentary Victoria made durning the trip to the school and learn the story about the amazing community in White City who built Nhlengelo Primary School with the support of the Alumier Foundation - https://youtu.be/0JoZBGv3gIM
