People, it may sound cliched but we are all affected by cancer, and one day we may find a cure.

Now, I am no runner.  Believe me. Sometimes I manage 3k, on the flat. A couple of years ago Liz and I (see above photo) Pushed it for the Peace hospice in Watford and ran about 8k, with obstacles to break that monotony. But 10k??!!  No muddy skips to slide around in? No rivers to swim? No firemen to water canon us on the way round?  This is going to be tough. But so is beating cancer.

Whilst there are numerous ways we can prevent the increase in chances of suffering from this pervasive disease, we can also all spare a little beer money to support the vital work of Cancer Research UK.

Today I start my training.  Today I start my fundraising. Today we are one step closer to beating cancer.
