Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have decided to take part in the Westonbirt Triathlon on Sunday 27 May. Why on earth are you doing that??? I hear you cry - to raise money for the Michael Palin Centre for stammering children.

I am suffering from my second chest infection in 3 weeks and am told by the doctor that training will be very difficult for the next 4 to 6 weeks - still I'm not giving up even if my time on the day is unlikely to be what I'd hoped so give generously and encourage me to swim, cycle, run and wheeze my way through the next few weeks!!!!! 

As many of you know Will developed a terrible stammer when he was just 2 and a half. It was very upsetting for him and worrying for the rest of the family. We found a fantastic speech therapist who helped Will to overcome his stammer and be the confident little speaker he is today. She was trained in the Michael Palin method and used the techniques pioneered at the Centre to teach us as a family how to help Will.  There are so many other children who need help so that they can overcome or at least learn to deal with their stammering so please dig deep and donate now.
