In November 2020, Hatty was tragically killed in a road accident in Somerset whilst walking her dog. She was just 24 years old and a beautiful soul inside and out. This October, my friend Hannah and I will be running the Paris marathon and we will be running every step of the way for Hatty and a charity very close to her heart - School Ground Sounds. 

Hatty was a great lover of music and in 2019 she joined 20 other fundraisers in walking 100km along the Ridgeway, individually raising over £1100 for SGS. In memory of her and in recognition of the money she raised, the team at SGS have set up a special fund for young musicians. This will gift a number of young people brand new instruments to use at home. They will work with local school music teachers to identify those students who would most benefit from this help, given that they may not otherwise be able to afford or access an instrument themselves.
