Story
In 2022 the worst happened when sadly my best friend and beloved father lost his short battle with Cancer, it threw our world upside!
We were an extremely close family and still are, but there is and will always be a huge hole in all our lives!
I spent a lot of time with my Father doing lots of amazing things, but one thing was we often went running together. I continued running throughout his illness. Now I am definitely not a runner, and as much as I try I find it very hard, but to know that I am still able to run and use my legs, unlike so many other people keeps me going. I feel like I need to use them and to try and make a positive impact in some way!
To many running a half marathon is quite easy, but to me it isn’t. My friends and family know that this will be a challenge for me. A challenge I am scared about but wanting to do to make everyone proud but mainly in memory of my wonderful father. A man I admired so much. If I can raise any kind of money to prevent this from happening to anyone else then running a half marathon seems quite achievable!
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre.
