Story
We, Rebecca and Vickie, have decided to challenge ourselves this year and do it for the greater good, an extremely important charity - Action Medical Research for children, who:
FUND VITAL RESEARCH
"We’re on a mission to save and change children’s lives through medical research, developing treatments, vaccinations and cures."
In order to do this we will be cycling 35 miles in the hilly Brecon Beacons, walking an 8 mile hike uphill and then if that isn't enough, finishing (us!) off with a 2 mile kayak!
So please, dig deep so that we're able to help Action Medical Research for children do their important work 🙏
Action Medical Research are the leading UK charity funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people. Action have been funding medical breakthroughs for 70 years now helping to beat polio, fight meningitis, prevent stillbirths and develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy. By supporting us, you are helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.Teams are taking part in this extremely tough dawn to dusk event to cycle 35 miles around the incredible winding lanes of the Brecons , navigate a 2-mile canoe course, and finally summit of Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons with an altitude of 886m, on an 8 mile round trip to raise money for this incredible cause. With your help, we're determined to make a real difference to children's lives.
