Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Given the magnitude of this challenge I wanted to commemorate it by supporting the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
The Jane Tomlinson Appeal was launched as a lasting legacy to Jane Tomlinson CBE who died from cancer in 2007. Before her untimely death aged just 43, Jane raised £1.8m for children's and cancer charities through a series of incredible endurance feats - despite suffering from terminal cancer.
The Appeal is currently co-funding ground-breaking research, at the University of Nottingham, into the development of a blood test to detect breast cancer at an earlier stage. The test could help detect cancer YEARS earlier than present - in some cases even before the cancer has developed - helping save the lives of women around the world. The same science could also go on to help people with other forms of cancer too.
