Hello peeps, 

On Friday 3rd March I’m sleeping rough for one night, to go through the awful experience again because it breaks my heart knowing EVERY night, I have a cosy bed to sleep in, when those on the streets are suffering every day and night. It’s such an important reminder for me personally to remember how very lucky I am! I hope you can please find it in your hearts to please support me with my fundraising efforts. Unlike me, those who are extremely vulnerable facing homelessness or indeed already homeless, feel they don't have a choice, unless we can raise the necessary awareness and funds to support the amazing work of charities like the brilliant YMCA Cheltenham. 

When you're homeless you suffer the elements EVERY NIGHT come heavy rain, snow or gale force winds. And even when there's fine weather, what do you do about your most treasured personal belongings? Where do you keep them? Or even the most basic of necessities, like a change of clothing, preparing something to eat, having a shower or cleaning your teeth? 

Doing the YMCA 'Sleep Easy' fundraising event really puts it all into perspective, and the irony of 'sleep easy', as I never sleep a proper wink. This is why it breaks my heart. Remember becoming homeless is not a choice.
