Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am taking part in the London Triathlon 2010, the world's largest triathlon, on Sunday 8th August 2010. It kicks off at 6:30am at the Excel Centre in East London. The event involves my swimming 1.5km in the Royal Victoria Docks. Then getting on my bike and cycling 40km, including getting to Westminster and cycling back to East London. After that, it is then just a simple question of running 10km! If all goes OK, I would hope to be done by 9:30am (i.e. around 3hours after starting).
I thought this would be an excellent opportunity to raise a little money for what is a very worthy cause:
CHAMOS is a charity registered with the Charity Commission under number 1123410. CHAMOS (which translates from Spanish as 'kids') helps to improve the lives of the most disadvantaged and poorest urban, rural, and indigenous children in Venezuela by providing financial support and/or donating medical, educational and other essential equipment to highly respectable Non-Governmental Organisations. For more details, please visit their website www.chamos.org.uk .
It would mean a lot to me if you could come along and support me during the event itself - 6:30am on Sunday 8th August 2010 at the Excel Centre. :-)
However, in the unlikely event that you are not able to come and cheer me on in person, alternatively it would mean a lot to me - and CHAMOS - if you were at all able to sponsor me for this event. Any amount at all which you could spare, even just a few pounds, would be very gratefully received by the charity.
