Story
I have taken on this challenge again to raise money for Cornwall Hospice Care in memory of Pat Wheeler (my best friend's Mum) and my step-dad Keith Woodcock who both sadly ended their lives at Mount Edgecumbe Hospice and are both sorely missed.
I know so many others who have also received end of life care there and who are supported to live with a terminal illness. Pat dedicated her life to raising money for the hospice and as soon as I entered her house it wouldn't be long before she was selling me a raffle ticket of some sort. Both of them received such valuable care at the end of their lives and without it, things would have been very different for both families.
I have taken on the challenge of cycling 278 miles across Cornwall and into France in just 4 days, all to help fund the amazing care of Cornwall Hospice Care. Just £20 will fund an hour of care which is so desperately needed by specialist health care professionals. I will be cycling in their memory and for all those that currently need Hospice Care Intervention.
When Pat passed away, we pledged to continue raising money for Cornwall Hospice Care as a legacy to her. This is the third cycle challenge that Team Pat have taken on (my second!) - this time we will be cycling 278 miles across Cornwall and France in just 4 days. We are covering all our costs for the trip so every penny you give will go to funding our hospices.
So please help by giving us (or any other member of Team Pat) whatever you can - every single pound helps. Cornwall Hospice Care receives very little government funding so totally relies on fundraising to operate - they really need our help to continue to fund this care. The more people know about Cornwall Hospice Care the greater the impact, so please spread the word by sharing our pages with friends and family.
Thank you in advance for your generosity in supporting us - it means so much. Some of you may have sponsored us before and we are so grateful. You never know when one of your loved ones might end up needing hospice care sadly. Please help us raise money for this amazing place.
