We enable homelessness & addiction recovery to help people discover a healthier future.

Story

Tough Mudder is going to be exactly what it says on the tin. Tough and Muddy. This year's version of the 10-12 mile (18-20 km) obstacle course includes electrodes, fire, ice and can you believe it, tear gas. Tough Mudder is designed to test physical strength and mental grit and I'm quite aware I have neither. However...

I am very stubborn! And if I say I'm going to do something, especially when people think I can't, I'm going to blimmin do it. SO! To help me round that course I plan to raise £1000 for SCT which is an East London charity that support people recovering from addiction by helping them to get clean and sober, develop self-respect and hope for a much better future. I worked with a homeless shelter in Exeter and think that looking after the most vulnerable people in our local communities is of vital importance. I'll be the first one to admit that raising money goes some way to sooth the guilt I feel walking past people sleeping on the street in the freezing cold. If I can help to make a little difference to these people's lives then, tear gas BRING IT ON!

I know you probably get asked for donations all of the time. I wouldn't be asking if I didn't think that this was a serious challenge for me. I'm pretty darn scared if I'm honest. Help me round that course will you? Please.
