Twelve months ago we said goodbye to Alex who, at the the age of 27, died from Oesophageal cancer. Subsequently, Sarah and I raised £750 for cancer research - for which we thank you from the bottom of our hearts - by swimming 1 mile in Windermere as part of The Great North Swim. We are going to swim again this year and will be joined by Alex's dad, my big brother David. This time our aim is for all three of us to do it under the hour! Cancer Research are making many inroads into finding a cure, and one day they will, but they need to conduct more research. And that costs money. We are asking you once again to help us, which in turn may one day help you. Every penny helps. Whether you give £1, £2, £5 or £10 it could be your donation that it takes to help find that cure. So, if you can, please help us and together we can fight this all-consuming illness and put an end to all the suffering it causes. Remember, cancer now effects 1 in 3 of us.
We appreciate all your support, and thank you.
