Jon and myself are walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks on Friday 23rd June 2023 in aid of Prostate Cancer UK along with a number of my colleagues in NatWest
Many people may not know but I sadly lost my dad to Prostate Cancer last summer. After losing my mam at 15 years old my dad was ‘my everything’ and as you can imagine broke my heart losing him after a long illness to Prostate Cancer.
I have a team at work that are joining me on the day to walk the 24.2 miles to raise as much money as we can for Prostate Cancer including the inspirational Kevin Webber who is joining us for the 12 hour trek.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough(723 metres), usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These hills form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
It is going to be a huge challenge which is pushing all my boundaries but I know my dad will be my side every step of the way. I would be so grateful for any donations no matter how small to raise much needed funds for a charity which affects so many men and their families.
** If you are donating from your charities account at NatWest please let me know as we have a separate Prostate Cancer UK account set up so please let me know and I will send you details of the Sponsor Me account **
Thank you xxx
