ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon 2018 · 8 April 2018 ·
Thank you for visiting my page.
My story - I'm taking on one of my biggest challenges, I'm running a marathon! Who'd have thought it, me run a marathon, 26.2 miles. I started out about 8 years ago only ever wanting to run a 5k!
Race day - 8th April 2018 will mark 3 years and 5 months without Mum. My rock, our family linchpin, a wonderful woman and much more. On that day I'll be running for Mum.
Now this marathon training malarkey isn't to be taken lightly. It's kinda taken over my Saturday mornings, my thoughts, my reading material, my general chat, my social media posts, my being....oh no, I've become a running bore.
All this because this is going to be my one & only marathon, ever. So I figured, Vicky if ya gonna do it love, give yourself a fighting chance at:
a) finishing it
b) finishing it running
c) finishing it with a smile.
I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, the only cancer charity in the UK focused on all types of sarcoma. Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It is one of the hardest to diagnose, and difficult to treat. This cruel cancer took Mum from us, way too early. It is continuing to affect others.
Thank you for your support you lovely, lovely people.
With love from me and the Linzell lot xxx
