Charity Row - City Centre Fire Station to Penrith

Vicky Grice is raising money for Fire Fighters Charity

Charity row - City Centre Fire Station to Penrith · 23 November 2020

Fire Fighters Charity provides care and support to the UK’s fire family. It helps with any health and wellbeing challenges firefighters, control staff, and everyone working in – or retired from – the UK’s fire services, as well as their families, may face - during and after service

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.

As firefighters we have no idea when we may be dependant on the Fire Fighters Charity (FFC) so we think it is important to raise as much money as possible so that this incredible Charity can continue to exist and help us and our families through any mental and physical challenges we may face over the course of our careers.

This year has been tough for everyone and covid restrictions have had a massive financial impact on the FFC.

In Merseyside our closest centre is Penrith so we have decided to row the distance from Liverpool’s City Centre Fire Station to Jubilee House in Penrith, and back, in 24 Hours. This is a total of 226 miles. We needed to think of an event that would be covid friendly and one that could help raise some money for the Charity at the end of a very tough year for everybody.

Thank you so much for the support.
