Story
As most family, friends know Emily had a bad start in life 😢.
Due to undiagnosed placenta previa resulting in placenta errruption Emily was born not breathing after a emergency section took midwifes 17min to get her to breath resulting in been took to NNU intensive care.
Emily had to have blood transfusions as due to the errruption she had hardly any blood left in her body.
She was blue lighted to James Cook for brain scan to see what the results of oxygen deprivation had on her the results were devastating 😭 we were told Emily had 5% chance of survival and if she did survive she would be brain dead with severe cerable palsy 😭😭😭 all her organs started to fail and me and Tony were told to think about switching machines off 😭😭 no way were we going to do that absaloutely no option at all.
Due to her organs failing we were given the devastating news if they didn't start there wasn't anything else they could do for her.
We were given the option to try a new thing called therapeutic hypothermia (I believe this saved Emily) Can't remem er how many days this was done over everything was a blur but her organs started back up again and over time Emily was getting better and better ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ we were told to take Emily home after 3 weeks and to make the most of her only time will tell how the brain damage was going to affect her. Emily had regular physio from birth although she does have problems with her leg and her memorie she is amazing healthy kind and beautiful little girl ❤️❤️ anyone who knows Emily knows she is a chatter box and can't stop talking 😂 so because of this and because we feel we owe a massive amount to the north teese NNU Emily wants to do a 24hrs sponsored silence. So this is where our lovely friends and family come into it 👌👌
