Vicki's Triathlon for Acacia !
Fundraising for Acacia Family Support
Fundraising for Acacia Family Support
I’m doing a triathlon. This is a big deal for me. I’ve done little bits of jogging before, but nothing as daft as this. The training has been hard work and I think I’ll be able to make it round…your support would help though!
Many of you will know that I work for a charity – Acacia – that supports families affected by perinatal mental health problems, in particular antenatal and postnatal depression (PND).
Many of you will also know that I’ve suffered from PND. It was horrible. It came at what should have been one of the most exciting and positive times of my life, making it one of the darkest and most difficult.
I benefitted from Acacia’s help. And every single day I see the difference our work makes: we improve relationships and we improve lives. To some families, our support is a life saver.
So I’m incredibly passionate about what we do. It’s a good job really, because I’m also in charge of our fundraising.
Every year we have to raise over £300,000. So I’m asking you to donate £100,000 for each leg of the triathlon I complete...or - if that’s a bit too much - then whatever you feel able to give.
Please, please, please give generously!
