I'm doing this race for a number of reasons.

1. My friend in the photo lost her battle while in her 20s

2. My nan is fighting this awful disease

3. I have a friend who is fighting too

4. My sister in law and three friends have fought and won

5. I have seen so many lives affected by cancer, my friends' families, my patients, their relatives, and have had a scare myself in the past.

Let me show you that this fat bird can run, and I'm doing it for us all.

I want to make cancer a thing of the past. I don't want to lose anyone else, and cancer research will help with that.
