Story
Thank you for visiting my just giving page.
On the 5th October 2020, it will mark one year since my Dad, Alan Stevenson, died. He had struggled with health issues caused my lupus for over six years. He strived to overcome those issues and faced every struggle and episode of ill health caused by the lupus with his immense strength and forever with a smile.
I do not ever want my Dad to be defined by his struggles with lupus and instead, I always choose to remember him with love, cherishing his memory and forever remembering that although we are apart, he is forever with me in my heart.
I want to mark the one year anniversary of his death by doing something which may go some way to help others affected by lupus while making some memories along the way which we are doing by walking the 72 miles (one mile for each year of my Dad’s life) and remembering him with each step. Jill is going to be walking beside me and we hope to raise funds for Lupus UK , the charity which strives to help those affected by this disease, ensuring my Dad is with us at every step.
Thank you so much for your support. 🦋 #teambutterfly 🦋
